Energy Entertainments teamed up with Hannan Paul a Gold Coast photographer and visited Swell Sculpture Festival in Currumbin. Over 2 nights we wandered through the sculptures and found a few epic sculptures to use for our work. After lots of fire, sparks, and movement, we managed to capture some amazing images which are featured below. We would love to hear your thoughts on what these images mean to you.

Energy Entertainments have the opportunity to work alongside and showcase the best talent from around Australia. Every Friday and Saturday night at 6.30pm on the main stage, EE presentS a different, thrilling show. So far they have seen; circus acts, comedy acrobatics, fire shows, aerial performances, dance routines, chainsaw juggling…and that’s just in the first month! It has been a lot of fun collaborating with the performers, sound and lighting guys and the NightQuarter team.

We have been mixing up the theme, lighting and stage props each evening and displaying an awesome backdrop designed by local artist, Dion Parker aka DionsRibs. We’ve created intro announcements and exciting videos to build the atmosphere before the show begins, inviting the audience to prepare for a spectacular stage show.

In 2008 the Eiffel Tower in Paris lite up like a christmas tree on the hour from 6pm until midnight. We had anywhere between 3 to 5 minutes to capture the video before the lights went out.

Dressed in full ninja suits Adam Mahmoud and myself lined up the edge of the shot with our shoes, if we passed our shoes we were out of shot. We hit play as soon as the lights started and my self and Adam began to dance!

This video was take 1 of that cold night in Paris, take 3 ended with 20 or so French military police walking towards us with machine guns from under the Eiffle Tower. To say the least Adam and I absolutely shat ourselves! We didn’t know what to do or where to go so we carried on pretending to not see them approach.

As they walked passed I said ”Bonjour” and nodded my head, a few nodded and said hi but there was one funny French twat that thought it would be hilarious to steal 1…. just one of my new Timberland boots just bought for our cold winter trip around Europe to gather footage for the new company created ‘Energy Entertainments’

 There are more stories to come about this crazy trip around Europe in a fridge!

Yes that’s right we organised a fire show on a floating half pipe in the middle of Currumbin Creek! And boy did it go off with a bang.

Energy Entertainments collaborated with Spent Clothing and the amazing festival Buskers By The Creek and together we made it happen. Cindy Jensen, Director of Buskers By The Creek asked Energy Entertainments to come up with a Worlds 1st never been done before idea for the festival and after a couple of drinks with Cindy we had the plan made.

Next was executing the idea! Cindy arranged the crane and the barge, along with the rest of the 2 day festival, thats right I don’t know how she does it but she is an event organising machine. Spent organised the half pipe and the riders to entertain. Energy Entertainments took care of the PA System, MC-ing the event and 2 fire shows to close both days of the festival.

To make the finale extra special we set one of the bikes on fire (and nearly Sam, the rider), we had flames bellowing out of an electric guitar while Pete Tonks ripped up a heavy metal rift, we had Luke O’connell with a flaming sword shooting out 3 meter flames, director of Energy Entertainments Neal Webb created a 10 meter Catharine wheel of sparks from the boat while the fiery bike back flipped into the creek. Thats right it happened! And the whole process can be seen on the video link below. Thanks for the video production Spent, nailed it again.

Big Thanks to Impact Ramps and all the riders that took part in the weekends activities, without you it would just be a half pipe floating in the water. Big up to all the Riders; Chris James, Jaden Cadman, Tristan Aarts, Aaron Sellway, Camron Newington and all the riders from Saturdays madness.

The name does not matter. What matters is a professional entertainment service from the start to finish! And of course a high energy impact show to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

A recent article on the front page of the Sun Newspaper talking about firing up The #GC600 with Energy Entertainments high impact fire performances read; Energy Entertainment not Entertainment(s). So we thought we would take the time to write an article using the wrong and correct name of our company!

The GC600 Supercars V8 race week is in full swing and Energy Entertainments will be taking to the stages dancing our hearts out with fire for your entertainment. Friday the 14th saw Energy perform for the launch of the V8 Supercars at Night Quarter in Helensvale. Wednesday 19th saw Energy perform midday in 27 degrees heat in Tedder Avenue, Surfers Paradise. It was a hot one! Wednesday night the team headed to Coolangatta where we performed 2 x shows for the Supercars Event with FMX motorcross.

Thursday 20th Energy will be performing in Cavil Ave, Surfers Paradise outside Peppers Soul from 17:30. 2 of the best fire twirlers on this huge island will be shooting flames into the air with stunts and dance moves. This is a show not to be missed.

Friday 21st Energy Entertainments will be performing 3 shows throughout the evening from 17:30 onwards in and around Cavil Ave. Fire breathing, Fire swords, Fire dancing / spinning / twirling.

Saturday 22nd you can witness Energy warming up the hottest girls on the planet before the Miss Supercars Contest, but keep your eyes on Energy’s hottest performer Phoebe Ayla as she might take out the rest of the girls with her smoking hot self! (And she dances with fire).

Thank you to everyone at Goondiwindi State High School it was an amazing experience to share my workshops as part of your Expressive Arts Week.

Your Expressive arts week is such a great idea for the kids to experience a variety of arts and culture from around the world. Teaching Tai Chi to the children of Goondiwindi State High was an amazing experience the children really took the teachings and stayed focused throughout the class. By explaining what tai chi is, where it comes from and the benefits of practicing this internal martial art the children knew what to focus on during the class. After practicing tai chi movements, playing pushing hands and leg fencing the class was ready to compete. 2 children would come to the middle of the circle and compete to be the winner in ‘Pushing Hands’ a game focused on stability, strength and reactions. The class finished with Chiqong breathing exercises and 5 minutes of mindfulness meditation focussing on them-selves and listening to their own body, a practice I believe we all don’t spend enough time on.

Thank you also for having Energy’s fire performance at the schools ‘Flaming Poetry’ evening, the children and parents had some really nice feed back and I enjoyed every second of the show.

The real heroes at the schools expressive arts week are the teachers who organise and put all of their time and effort into creating a fun and educational week of madness and laughter.

Thank you Goondiwindi, I hope we have the chance to have some fun again one day soon.
