Energy’s fire shows and grand performances can be found locally on the Gold Coast and Brisbane but are available Australia and Worldwide.

I met Eli over 2 years ago now and we have created some beautiful work together. He approached me after a fire performance and said he would love to make a fire video with me included, so I obviously agreed and the dates were set. We chose 3 locations around the Gold Coast and Mount Tamborine to shoot over a period of a few weeks and the magic began to flow. We had such a good time creating the first video ‘Amazing Fire Dancing’, we were hooked and our friendship grew.

To date our video has 34,975 views! It’s a beautiful piece with the music written for the video by Forty Thieves.

Our friendship and ideas have not stopped there. At the end of 2014 we began to raise money to create a documentary to find the heart of fire dancing. In May 2015, Elijah, Gabrielle (sound designer) and I flew to Hawaii to spectate and document the World Fireknife Championships and train with the best Fireknife performers in the World. Yes they dance with machete’s on fire!

Thank you to everyone at Goondiwindi State High School it was an amazing experience to share my workshops as part of your Expressive Arts Week.

Your Expressive arts week is such a great idea for the kids to experience a variety of arts and culture from around the world. Teaching Tai Chi to the children of Goondiwindi State High was an amazing experience the children really took the teachings and stayed focused throughout the class. By explaining what tai chi is, where it comes from and the benefits of practicing this internal martial art the children knew what to focus on during the class. After practicing tai chi movements, playing pushing hands and leg fencing the class was ready to compete. 2 children would come to the middle of the circle and compete to be the winner in ‘Pushing Hands’ a game focused on stability, strength and reactions. The class finished with Chiqong breathing exercises and 5 minutes of mindfulness meditation focussing on them-selves and listening to their own body, a practice I believe we all don’t spend enough time on.

Thank you also for having Energy’s fire performance at the schools ‘Flaming Poetry’ evening, the children and parents had some really nice feed back and I enjoyed every second of the show.

The real heroes at the schools expressive arts week are the teachers who organise and put all of their time and effort into creating a fun and educational week of madness and laughter.

Thank you Goondiwindi, I hope we have the chance to have some fun again one day soon.

The preview of Heart of Fire documentary is live!

Join Neal Webb on a journey to find the heart of fire dancing on Polynesian lands. Neal visited the Hawaiian Islands in search of finding the Heart of Polynesian Fireknife Warriors and witness the World Fireknife championships.

The project Heart of Fire is a collaboration between fire performer Neal Webb, creative director of Energy Entertainments, film-maker Elijah Cavanagh founder of FilmsCo and sound designer Gabrielle Fry from JPL Media. Together they will create a feature length documentary to the heart of fire dancing. Individually they are the best in the business in their fields but together there is no stopping the action, beauty and journey they will take you on throughout the documentary.

Keep an eye out for Neal performing his high energy martial art fire shows at the Swell Sculpture Festival and the award winning Buskers By The Creek, both festivals held in Currumbin on the Gold Coast in September and October 2015.

Energy Entertainments are also holding Tai Chi workshops in Goondiwindi School with Kung Fu performances and a fire weapons show including fire sword, fire bow staff and fire chain whip to close the event.

The Heart of Fire Documentary is in full swing and will be completed by the end of the year. Heart of Fire is a journey to find the roots of fire dancing where professional fire performer Neal Webb visits the World Fireknife Championships in Hawaii and trains with the Polynesian warriors to see if he has what it takes to become a fireknife warrior.

There are lots of high energy fire twirling/dancing/spinning shows coming to the Gold Coast and Sydney over the next few months so watch this space and I hope you’re lucky enough to feel the heat of Neal performance.

Fire shows Europe to the Gold Coast Australia

Individually they are the best in the business in their fields but together there is no stopping the action, beauty and journey they will take you on throughout the documentary. They are holding events on the Gold Coast of Australia to raise money towards the documentary and have launched a Kickstarter campaign.

The Heart of Fire team have chosen the Polynesian people as their 1st stop to find the heart of fire dancing. They will delve deeper into the Polynesian culture, learn their traditions, practice the art of fireknife dance, speak to elders, learn how to forge a fireknives and build friendships along the way. All will be captured through Elijah’s lens, his previous work shows a deep beauty and connection with the people and places he visits, together with Gabrielle’s intuitive sound design and Neal’s love for life and people they will take the documentary on journey of pure involvement of their surroundings and capture the true heart of fire dancing.
